Wisbech St Mary Academy hosts a dazzling non-uniform day
Pupils at a village primary school recently hosted a dazzling non-uniform day, and it was nothing short of spectacular.
The event, at Wisbech St Mary Academy, was a vibrant celebration, with children coming dressed as fireworks, showcasing their creativity in bright and sparkly outfits.
To participate, each child brought in a donation for the bottle stall which will be held at the school’s annual fireworks spectacular.
A spokesperson for the school said: “This fun-filled day was not just about the costumes – it was a heartfelt effort to support a tradition cherished by all in our local community.
“The enthusiasm and participation from our pupils and staff were truly remarkable, making this event a memorable one for everyone involved.
“And we are pleased to say that from this day, we have seen such generosity and have a wonderful collection of bottles ready for the event.”
The ninth annual firework spectacular organised by the school’s Parents, Teachers, and Friends Association.
This event is not only a highlight of the community calendar but also a crucial fundraiser, with all proceeds going towards supporting the school.
It is being held on Saturday, November 9 with gates opening at 5.15pm. The bonfire will be lit at 5.30pm and there will be firewood displays at 6.15pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets can be purchased on the night or in advance via Ticketsource.
