Bring your singing voices to Fenland community carol service
Get ready for a festive feast of music when the chair of Fenland District Council’s Community Carol Service takes place in Wisbech.
Chairman Cllr Nick Meekins is inviting everyone to join the feelgood event, which takes place at St Peter and St Paul Church on Friday, December 6 from 6pm.
“Christmas will be here before we know it and what better way to herald the start of the festive season than by attending an evening filled with timeless carols,” he said.
“I hope as many people as possible come along and join in the festivities, bringing their smiling faces and best singing voices.”
As well as the chance to join in singing carols, there will be heartfelt readings and prayers.
There will also be performances from The Clarkson Singers and a reading by Fenland Poet Laureate, Hannah Teasdale, of her Christmas inspired poem ‘For my Dad, the original Worcestershire lad’.
There will also be a collection for St Peter and St Paul Church.
The event is completely free to attend, and everyone is welcome.
