Bus stop improvements should help school children in Emneth
Schoolchildren in a Fenland village should be able to keep out of the rain following plans to upgrade bus stops.
A bus stop in Hollycroft Road, Emneth has already been upgraded but more work on the site is promised.
There are also plans to create an official stop at the Scarfield Lane/Church Road junction, with a shelter, and to also improve the shelter provision at Gaultree Square.
This work will hopefully ensure it is better able to accommodate the large number of children now using it.
Cllr James Tingley has been instrumental in assisting with the delivery of the Fendyke Road stop on Hollycroft, with the full and committed support of Emneth Parish Council, who has backed the full principle of the overall proposal.
A mixture of funding will be drawn on, including dedicated bus funding for Norfolk, and funds from my local Member budget.
