Parade and wreath laying to remember Chatteris’ Fallen
Chatteris people turned out in their hundreds yesterday for the annual Remembrance Day commemoration.
This year saw people from all walks of life together with representatives from local groups and organisations join the parade, which wended its way through crowd-lined streets from Furrowfields to the town's War Memorial outside the parish church.
At the war memorial wreaths were laid by representatives from various groups and organisations in the town.
Local MP Steve Barclay was among the dignitaries who attended this year’s ceremony.
The wreath laying was then followed by a church service.
