March Town through to next round of the FA Vase but Parson Drove defeated in league and Wisbech Town’s game rained off
March Town are through to the Second Round of the FA Vase after scoring four goals in Essex this afternoon, but Parson Drove suffered a league defeat in Suffolk, while Wisbech’s game in Nottinghamshire was a victim of the rain.
Ashley Taylor’s March won 4-2 at lower league Coggeshall Town in the Vase, with the draw for the next round taking place late Monday morning.
Ben Tait gave March a first-half lead with his fifth goal of the season and Matty Foy also struck his fifth of the campaign to make it 2-0 just after the break.
The Seed Growers pulled one back on the hour but captain Craig Gillies put The Hares 3-1 up with his 11th of the season. The home team then got another one but sub Flo Tsaguim wrapped up the win with his sixth effort since rejoining March.
March, who slip to third in the United Counties Premier South, are back in league action on Tuesday evening when they travel to play second-place St Neots Town, before they host Rugby Borough, who are fourth, next Saturday.

Parson Drove conceded within two minutes of kick-off in their game at unbeaten Thurlow Nunn First Division North leaders Haverhill Rovers when Adden Tokley scored. Corey Kingston and Harrison Taylor both saw efforts saved by the home keeper and it stayed 1-0 at the break.
Sub Josh Evans made it 2-0 for the experienced home team after 63 minutes and the prolific Shaun Avis wrapped things up four minutes later.
Drove now have two home games coming up, with strugglers Swaffham Town the visitors on Wednesday evening before they host title-chasing Stanway Pegasus next Saturday.

Wisbech Town missed out on the chance of winning a third United Counties Premier North game on the trot when their fixture at lowly Kimberley Miners Welfare was rained off.
The Fenmen have two home games next week, with 11th-place Boston Town visiting Fountain Fresh Park on Tuesday evening before seventh-place Melton Town are hosted next Saturday.
