Fenland club hosts annual George Munday 10k race with more than 300 runners taking part
Three Counties Running Club hosted the George Munday 10k at the weekend.
The race is named after George Munday who was a resident decorated with the Military Cross.
He donated the land on which Leverington Sports and Social Club stands, which is also the base of Three Counties Running Club.
It also embraces Remembrance Sunday with a moving pre-race tribute from TCRC member Arthur Sargeant followed by a two-minute silence.
The fast, flat course takes runners through quiet back roads and northwards into Newton, before making the final push towards the finish.
Three Counties times: James Hall 41:35 PB 76th, Phil Newton 45:15, Amy Baxter 48:19, James Stace 49:55PB, Tracey Else 52:58, Donna Johnson 55:45, Sarah Melton-Whitelam 57:38, Steve Whitelam 1:03:25, Sophie Kirtley 1:11:27PB, Moira Macdonald 1:11:44PB, Ewa Szczygielska 1:13:41 and AJ Harris 1:17:31.
